Logan checking things out

Logan's Birthday

Today was Logan's birthday and he wanted to go to Cherry Hill in Kaysville. Dad, Coby, and I met Ashley and the kids @ 4 and did the water splash and then stayed for the concert that evening. We grilled hamburgers, etc, did the slides, pool fun, and sat and curled up in blankets and sat in comfy chairs to enjoy the Red Rock Band that evening. The kids had fun and we enjoyed being there to participate. Here's just some highlights of our afternoon.

Cherry Hill

Yes! This was a last water trip for the year! Cherry Hill wasn't that big BUT it was a lot of FUN. More to view and more enjoyable for the kids as was this raging gorge!

you should see the other guy.... they escaped without a scratch...

i am OK... really... just a little traumatized and ugly... but the ugliness is only temporary... you can read the whole store if you want @ mypeacebeuntoyou.blogspot.com

The bathroom remodel is complete

This is about as much as i could get in the picture. We think it looks good and are happy with the outcome. I see why we do not do this every day. It is very expensive even though we did all the work. The room is not so tight and a little more open then before.

Greatest family

Well, today a thought came to me while I was in Relief Society and now I am asking each one of you that I admire for some help. A few weeks ago Joanna had asked us to write something about an event that we remember about her. I thought it was such a good idea, I wanted to try it, too. I appreciated everyone that posted something for me. I am doing a project hoping I can become a better person for the next few weeks. (Just letting you know in case you may not be able to see a difference! Ha!) First of all, I would like those who would like to participate post how you feel about the Savior and how that has affected your life. Thank you for helping me with this. I love each one of you.

Happy Birthday Devin!

Devin is 19 today! We celebrated on Sunday since he lives in Colorado during the week! We're not as entertaining as Coby's birthday was...we had movie night/pizza night on Sat night and cake and ice cream on Sunday---so guess it was a birthday weekend.

What a good looking kid! I wonder if he looks like me??? hehehehehe. I should do one of those look alike meters and see! People at work that have met him say he looks EXACTLY like me---which is funny---because I think he looks EXACTLY like his dad!

Saturday we went to Bear Lake and rented a couple of jet skis for Coby's Birthday.
It was a beautiful day and we had a blast.

In the afternoon the wind kicked up and the guys had fun jumping the waves

Stefanie - check this out

Hey Stefanie - I saw these frames online this morning, and thought you might be interested in them. I haven't bought them (but I'm thinking about it) - but they might help with how you were wanting to include several pictures at a time on the blog.

Work in progress

The progress of the remodel was helped along a lot last week with the help of Jhonny. He was able to come and help me this last weekend. We were able to get the tile layed and the shower pan installed, also he helped me nail up the sheetrock. I am not the best at drywall and needed the help alot. This week I have been doing the taping and patching the holes. Yesterday I put the sealer and testure on half of the walls in that the joint compound was still drying on the holes patched and the texture will need to wait until tomorro night. By Sat we hope to have the painting done so we can install the funiture and showere stall. When finished we will post a picture if anyone is interested.

It was good to have Chalice and Jhonny here with the kids. It is amazing how the house can get so cluttered in a short time but you don't mind at all. It is actually fun. We really enjoy the kids when they come.
So on with the saga of the project.
