a call for crockpot recipes

I love my crockpot. Seriously love it. Although I use it frequently in the Summer so I don't heat up my house cooking, I especially love to use it in the Winter months. But I need more yummy recipes!! Please take a moment and post your favorite crockpot recipe in a new post (and feel free to share as many as you want!)

Swiss Chicken
yummy and oh so easy!
(since I usually cook for 2, that's what this recipe is for)
  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 9 slices swiss cheese (you can use less, I just heart cheese)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups dried stuffing
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  1. Place chicken in crock pot
  2. place cheese slices on the chicken
  3. mix soup and milk together, dump it over the chicken and cheese
  4. mix stuffing and melted butter, dump over everything
Cook on high for 2-4 hours or low 6-8 hours
(and of course, you can also bake this in the oven - cover and bake at 375 degrees for 45-60 minutes)

If you decide to post a recipe, can you add a label to your post?
This way it will be a little easier to find all of the recipes.

Our first snow

Here's our first big snow. It flaked a bit the day before, but then the next day it snowed all day. I can't complain though cause it was the good sticky kind that you can play in and build stuff out of. We had a blast building the snowman and our fort. HE HE ain't it great to be a kid.

strupps and their adventures

We have had a whirl wind of a summer and fall.Aspen had her baby Elden Hale on Sept.11 and Carson and I went down and spent 2 weeks with them and enjoyed every minute of it. I did a lot of cooking and learned how to cook some very yummy meals. Troy did his cross country flight while I was there so Aspen and I had time just the two of us and the little ones. We did go and have fun. when we were not sleeping I think we both needed to catch up on sleep. But why sleep when you can play and at all hours of the night. I forgot how warm it was in Texas in September. if only I could find a job out the for Travis.

When I got back home I started working again full time because I needed a break from Carson 2 weeks, 24-7 I don't recommend any one do that with a kid. I couldnot even give him to Troy. troy had his own little one to play with.

SO when we got home Travis had me go and by a deer tag and the he drug us out 5 in the morning opening day of hunting season and I got my deer. Travis said it was 8 tines the sizes of his that he got with his bow while I was in Texas.

Carson even had fun. Cant wait until he is old enough to shoot his own.

Thoughts on conference?

So, I'm curious. . .after reading about Stefanie's talk on conference, how did we do? What did you all get out of it? I liked Elder Wirthlin's "come what may & learn to love it", Elder Holland's talk on the ministering of heavenly and mortal angels, the beautiful children's choir, Pres Monson's admonishment to make memories, and Elder Nelson's counsel on eternal marriage. There were more good ones, but these stucck out for me. You?

The Green Boys

Joseph and Joshua
Just thought I would show off my cute little boys. This is them all dressed up to go to Uncle Jeff's wedding. Of course before we left we had to change Joshua's shirt because it got dirty, but so it goes with little boys.
